A normal characteristic of any enamel product is that they're susceptible to staining over time when repeatedly used with certain beverages, especially coffee and tea. It's not a problem for the mug, but if this bothers you then any stains can be removed by applying lemon juice or soda to the affected area and gently scrubbing with a hard sponge.
These are good quality products but as with all drinkware PLEASE TAKE CARE with hot liquids, steam build-up, that kinda thing. Also, regular cleaning as well as refreshing / emptying stale contents will keep you and your container non-odorous, fresh and happy. If unsure just email us. Cheers!
